Feburary

 We started off February with Rick's Birthday.  

Happy Birthday to my favorite husband.  41 years old!! WOW, and he just keeps getting better and better with age.  I have learned so much from this man -- he is the most amazing person in the world and I am so thankful for him.  We celebrated his birth by grilling steaks and singing lots of off-tune happy birthday songs!!!

 Every weekend we have a house full of teenage girls!  I absolutely LOVE Lindsie and her friends.  I have so much fun with these girls and I am so grateful that they like to come to our house.  I am a huge believer in knowing my kids friends and I hope they will always feel comfortable in our home.  

 There is usually a lot of dancing going on.... For some reason when Rick and I try to join in, they fall to the ground laughing!!!

Rick had a Last Chance booth at the boat show.  We went and helped keep Rick company.  The kids had a blast walking around finding all kinds of free stuff!

The highlight was when pro skier, Marcus Brown, stopped by the booth.  

Now we are aching for summer to get here!

I love going in her room at night and seeing her sound asleep with her mask on.  I laugh every time!

We have had so much fun skiing together as a family this year!!!  Last year I was busy healing my broken neck and could not ski with Rick and the kids.  We have definitely made up for lost time.  We try to hit the slopes every weekend.   I love skiing with my family.

Once again, I am so grateful for all my blessings.  I still thank the man upstairs every day for the miracle I was blessed with.  My life has changed for the better -- I really try not to take my health and family for granted.  I know how quickly things can change and I feel we have been given a second chance.  That is why we must enjoy every minute of every day.  I love that I can share all these memories with my family.

I am so grateful for parents who always make sure we get together as a family.  Life gets so busy and it is easy to let time pass and not see each other, even though we all live close by.   There is nothing more important than family and we have the BEST family EVER!!!

When I think back to growing up with Michele and Meg as my sisters, who would have even imagined that some day we would actually grow up, get married, and have kids of our own (mine being the decent ones)  **That's a little family joke.  

Blast from the Past

In my closet, up on the top shelf, is a HUGE bag full of pictures.  These pictures have been accumulating since I gave birth to Mallory.  After my third child, I no longer had time to put the pictures into photo albums.  My intentions were to organize them someday, but the bag just kept getting more and more full, as I would throw all the pictures in.   Then, we got a digital camera and all my pictures were saved right to my computer (which I LOVE)  No more scrap booking!!  The pictures on the top shelf of my closet have been haunting me for the last few years ... I really need to do something with them.

So when my friend invited me to a party she was having to scan all our "old" pictures onto a disc, I was more than happy to come. 

I always have mixed emotions when I look at pictures:  sad that my kids are growing up, sad that the memories of them as babies are fading away.  At the same time, I am so grateful for all the fun memories and I loved reminiscing about the past.
