Winter at Last Chance

Welcome to Last Chance in the Winter...
We used to think it was all about the summer fun!
Truth is, Last Chance turns into a Winter Wonderland…. iceskating on the lake, sledding behind the rhino and 4-wheelers, snowmobiling, and hot tubbing under the stars.  If you are really crazy, you jump into the ice cold water (polar plunge) and run as fast as you can without slipping, to the hot tub!  After all the fun in the snow - cozy up by the warm roaring fire that Rick keeps going all day long.  Rick is more excited about the wood burning fire place than anything I have ever seen!  He loves building fires and heating up the room so hot that we have to open the door and let cold air in.
If you need us this winter…. you know where we will be!

Baptism

Who got baptized at Last Chance???  Mallory and Emery, that's who!
We were so excited, and a little shocked that we were able to get permission to do the baptism at the lake.  I'm pretty sure Grandma Murdoch is the one who pulled this off for us - I'm certain she is very busy on the other side making sure Last Chance is everything we have dreamed it to be.   Thanks Grandma!

The day was gorgeous!!!  It was hot (around 100 degrees) and the water was as calm as ever.

Mallory and Emery have done everything together since birth - So it only seemed right to have their baptisms together too!

The timing was perfect because the house was almost finished and we were able to have our families all come and enjoy the day with us

Meg made this darling cupcake dress.  Not only was it cute, the cupcakes were to die for.  I found myself hiding one in a special drawer for later!  My taste buds are salivating just looking at it:)

We started inside and had a special program with Grandpa Dan and Emery's Grandpa Allen giving talks.  It was so neat to look around at all our family and feel the spirit so strong at our favorite place on earth!

After the program, we walked outside to the beach for the baptism.

It wouldn't be complete without jumping off the boat house with church clothes on...

Look close and notice that Mallory wasn't going to be left out!
It reminded me of our crazy wedding when Rick smashed the cake all over me and my wedding dress. Here was Mallory in her pretty white dress jumping into the Lake!!

The rest of the day was spent eating delicious food and enjoying the lake!
